Training Options
Motag rider training courses are structured around an intensive five module programme, which in our experience is the necessary format for an inexperienced rider. Compulsory Basic Training, where necessary, is completed on the first day of training and of course the last day involves the final test preparation and the test itself.
We recommend that if you are taking one of our modular courses that you take and pass the theory prior to starting your intensive course. We can arrange this for you, and provide a Theory Learning Pack which includes either the 'official' M/C Theory Test Books, or an interactive CD, plus sample papers.
| DAY | OBJECTIVE | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | CBT | Necessary for all learner riders unless previously completed. |
| Day 2 | Basic Road Procedures | Carried out on a 125cc motorcycle, to build confidence and awareness of essential techniques. |
| Day 3 | Introduction to Test Procedures | On and off-road experience day on a 125cc or 'Big Bike' conversion day for DAS pupils. Practicing Module 1 and Module 2 Test requirements. |
| Day 4 | On and Off-Road Day including Module 1 Test | Continuation of Test Procedures on a 125cc or DAS bike, including final Module 1 preparation and the Module 1 Test. |
| Day 5 | Road Day including Module 2 Test | Further test preparation day culminating in the Module 2 Test. |
